NSL WEEK 326- Adobe Photoshop “Clip to Layer”

Old school function that’s super useful, Clip to Layer in Adobe Photoshop.

Top Layer gets Clipped to the lower Layer. To Clip Layer, Alt/Option Click between 2 Layers. To make sure you’re doing it correctly, hover over the line between 2 Layers, hold down Alt/Option and when your Cursor changes, you’re ready to Clip.


Clipping is a way to create a quickly create a Mask with the help of Layers. The pixels on the top Layer will only be visible where pixels exists in the lower layer.
