Take a look though my "Never Stop Learning" weekly posts & more. You'll be able to see me try out techniques that are new to me, keep my chops up on techniques I've learned through the years, and talk about adjustments I'm making to my workflow to become more efficient/proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite, major focus on Photoshop and Illustrator.
Man! Why all the hate =D I don’t see this as an “unusable tool”. This week I studied up on the Sharpen Tool in Adobe Photoshop.
Half of the videos I found were kinda warning against the use of the Sharpen Tool but I think it’s cool for quick spot edits and people that are new to Photoshop. Check out the video above to learn what all the buttons do.
I realize that “back in the day” this tool was like a sledgehammer but today you can make subtle adjustments. You can find it in the tool panel in the same stack as the Blur Tool.
This is how the image looks before I brushed in the Sharpen Tool.
Here I brushed in the Sharpen Tool on a couple of areas to bring back some detail and focus.
