Paint Bucket Tool basics for Adobe Photoshop

The tip of the arrow on your cursor is where all the action is. That’s the point that will sample your pixels, not the paint bucket icon.


Adobe Photoshop Background

Fill Contiguous Only

Here I used the Paint Bucket on the white background and it ignored the white pixels inside the logo.

Fill NonContiguous

Now when I clicked on the white background, all the white pixels in the document are effected.

Low Tolerance will effect a smaller color range.

High Tolerance will effect a larger color range.


Adobe Photoshop

Instead of painting with the foreground color, you can paint with a pattern.
