NSL WEEK 202- Adobe Photoshop CC “Move Tool Basics”

It’s a trip, I’m always working with the Move Tool, but I kinda ignored it’s awesomeness or took it for granted.

There’s a couple modifiers that I use all the time and while looking into this tool, I learned some additional functions to help me out.

Adobe Photoshop Move Tool
Auto-Select: Layer and Group

Before this week, I never really looked at this feature. It allows you to customize how the Auto-Select feature will work. Sometimes you need your grouped layers to move together but if you put it in “Layer” mode, you can reposition pixels while ignoring the group.

Keyboard Modifiers:

V= Activate Move Tool
Command Key = Temporarily activates Auto-Select
Option + Click + Drag= Allows you to copy Layer
Shift + Click + Drag= Constrains the angle
