N.S.L: WEEK 188 – Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 “Eyedropper Tool Basics”

Still checking out the Eyedropper Tool, but this week I’m in Photoshop

Check out the video above which covers this tools basics.

Sample Ring Heads-up Display

When the eyedropper tool is activated, you can click and hold to bring up this Sample Ring. I like using this display to help me chose the right color to use.

Sample Color Outside of Photoshop

AWESOME! I’ve seen this done, but I couldn’t figure out how to do it. In the shot above, I’m sampling a color from the folders on my desktop. Sometimes you need to sample a color from something outside of Photoshop. You can do this by first clicking in the document, drag out of Photoshop, and release once you have sampled the correct color.

When the eyedropper tool is activated, you can taylor the settings to fit your individual workflow.
