N.S.L: WEEK 116 – Adobe Illustrator CC: “Auto Corners” for Pattern Brush New Feature

This was a SUPER useful upgrade in Adobe Illustrator CC. Well, it’s something I REALLY wanted for  Illustrator  =D

I used a Custom Pattern Brush for the fringe of the shapes

Now when you create a Pattern Brush, Illustrator will automatically produce some options for you to use as corners. I got really hyped about this because creating the corners was always the hardest part for me. What I’m noticing is that the auto corners aren’t always perfect, but they work great most of the time. TIME SAVER!!! Check out the video below to get a quick look at how they work.

Prior to this feature, your pattern brush would be nonexistent unless you created some additional corners your self.

You can still make your own corners but Illustrator gives you a couple of options for you to choose from. You should try them all out and see which one works best for your project.
