N.S.L: WEEK 115 – Adobe Photoshop CC: “CameraRAW Filter”

This is a feature that is probably going to get people using Adobe CameraRAW more =D

I run into so many people that have Photoshop but don’t even know they also have CameraRAW, not to mention Adobe Bridge =D

Prior to CameraRAW becoming a Filter, you could only take advantage of this feature if your file was a .RAW .TIF or .JPG and you had to know how to launch CameraRAW. Once you know what you’re looking for, it’s easy to find but if you don’t, you’re going to have a tough time.

Adobe Bridge CC CameraRAW
You can launch CameraRAW here or with Comm+R

Now you can add Adobe CameraRAW as a filter to any layer you have in your Adobe Photoshop document. If you apply it to a normal layer it will be a destructive adjustment.

If you convert your layer into a Smart Object, you can come back to it and continue to edit with CameraRAW remembering the settings you last used. SUPER flexible!

You can convert to Smart Object right from the Filter menu
